Summer Swap [Aug. 20th, 2007|12:19 pm]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

[mood |disappointeddisappointed]

We had 5 people say they were interested, but only one signed up so I could send them my address...

So I guess for now the swap is on hold. It doesn't really seem worth it to send one person two markers, especially after I bought $25 worth of beads. Maybe next time.

Summer Swap Sign-Up! [Aug. 11th, 2007|10:10 am]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

[mood |creative]

It looks like we had some interest so I'm going to go forward with the swap. Yay!

What: Summer Themed Stitch Marker Swap
When: Markers in by September 8th and swapped back by September 22nd
How Many: Two markers per participant (right now that's ten markers total, but may change)
Additional Costs: $1 for shipping and a padded envelope

As from before: Please send your stitch markers to me in a padded bag, and enclose $1 for postage. I will be reusing your padded bag (if it makes it here in one piece!) and will send out everything first class with delivery confirmation. Also, please put a slip of paper with your address inside the bag, just in case I can't read the outside address for some reason.

The only rules are that you send in the right number of markers in a padded bag, don't forget your dollar for postage, and please send something that you would like to receive. Also, if "life happens" and you can't do the swap - just let me know!!

Please sign-up here by Wednesday Aug 15th if you would like to take place in the Summer Stichmarker Swap.

To sign up please leave a reply to this post that you'd like to participate and include your email address. I will email you directly with my name and address to send the markers to. Easy! :-)

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at angelica@lilithschilde.com My email is always up, though if I'm working it may take a few hours to get back to you.

Happy Beading!!

Poll #1034479 New Marker Swap?

Would you be interested in doing a stitch marker swap as listed above?

If we get enough people I'll go ahead and post a sign up sheet and my info this weekend to get it rolling. I know other people also mentioned they'd like to organize one, so maybe we could take turns each time so that nobody feels overwhelmed? I certainly wouldn't mind doing it every time but if other people were excited about it I'd want to give them a chance.

Winter Swap is in! [Aug. 6th, 2007|02:52 pm]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

Thank you, Liz, for finally getting our winter markers out to us. It was a long time coming but it was nice when they got here.

I've included a pic of the winter markers under the cut.

pic of Winter Stich MarkersCollapse )

I have to admit, getting them in the mail made me giddy and made me want to make more. Would anyone be interested in doing another? I wouldn't mind organizing it if we had people interested in participating. Maybe a summer swap while it's still hot out? There're some great summer beads out there.

Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

Yup, the stitchmarkers finally came...and not just all mine back, they're swapped! I'm so happy.

I guess since I'm the first I'll post the note that came with mine.

"Sorry again about the delay in this swap. I'm going to leave the LJ comm up in case someone else wants to organize more swaps. - Liz"

So be on the lookout!

Found Lyzard13 [Jul. 11th, 2007|09:37 pm]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!
Hey everyone.. I saw that Lyzard13 posted to someone I know's blog. I made a comment as to when is she going to send out or send back our stitch markers.

I then found her on ebay and sent this email to her..

(Me to Lyzard)
When are you going to send us the stitch markers from the stitch marker swap? It has been months and months. My name is Wierdlings and I think I deserve, as well as the others who participated, some sort of response and our markers returned. We trusted you.

Her reply was...

If I will return them to everyone by July 15. You can post this if you wish.

So please keep a look out in your mail to see if she returns your SM'ers. I did send her some and expect to get them back...

Not Dead/Not Lost [Apr. 9th, 2007|05:39 pm]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

[mood |stressedstressed]

I'm not dead or sick - and your markers are not lost, but all safe and sound. I've been very busy dealing with a new part-time job and just crapy life in general. Markers are going to go out this weekend and pics should be up next week. Sorry...

About Liz [Mar. 31st, 2007|07:10 am]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

I know we all think very highly of Liz, but the reason I'm feeling so burned is because she's not entirely offline or unable to do anything. She has a link to her Ebay store on her profile, you see, so I checked it and not only are there auctions running right now, but there have been all along. If she's able to run auctions, she's able to reply to us here and tell us what's happening and/or send out the stitch markers we've sent her, in my opinion. To me, I keep thinking about the fact that if she were to resell our stitch markers she could be looking at around $300 plus whatever cash we've sent her. I want to believe in her but it's a little tough right now.

I've sent an email through Ebay to her, thinking maybe she'll at least see that. *shrug*

New marker swap. Anyone? [Mar. 30th, 2007|01:28 am]
Knitting Stitch Marker Swap!

So I haven't heard hide nor hair from Liz either, so I don't know if/when we'll be getting our winter markers, But that got me thinking that I could certainly host the next swap. That way we could keep it going. I don't mind doing the seperating and mailing, and all that.

So Anyone wanna do another swap?
I'm thinking SPRING! would be a great theme,

Please let me know (Reply to this thread) by April 15th if you want to be part of it. I'd like to have people send in their markers by May 1st, So I can quickly turn them around and get them sent back out.

What do you all think? Do ya wanna do it?
